To George's family - I first met George via the Buffalo Braves in 1976 and felt like he was a good friend ever since our first courtside chat. That continued through our years on the Hall of Fame comittee. None of us ever wants to lose a good friend, but I still can see his smile and the sparkling personality that was his. Our condolences to each of you! Pete & Claudia Weber

Sorry to hear of George's passing. I will never forget his positive view of life. I worked with George at the Buffalo Braves. His easy manner attracted many people and put them at ease. He will be missed. But he left behind a fine family that will represent his values for many decades to come.

I was sad to hear that Mr. D. passed away. He was a genuinely funny and nice person who went out of his way to help others. He once came to a tryout that I had with a low level professional baseball league. The coach of one team told him that I would probably not make the team because I was too slow of a runner. Mr. D. promptly told him that if I was fast I would have been drafted and he would be watching me on TV. It was not true but it was a really nice thing to say. I signed with that team the next day.

It is with sadness that I hear of George's passing. He touched my life with his smile, his wonderful "giggling" laughter, and his wonderful way of knowing everyone around him! I do remember when he and I were on a project for Bryant & Stratton and we were in a Virginia Beach Airport waiting to come home to Buffalo...and I think he knew everyone waiting for the flight home! I was so amazed watching his "work the crowd" and enjoyed watching as he made everyone laugh as he "entertained" us while we waited for the flight home! He had a wonderful way of connecting with everyone...and I will definitelty miss him! My thoughts and prayers are for his wife and family..especially Diane! The world is a better place because of George!

Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead. Casey was so sorry to hear of George's passing on her birthday. She's upset that she won't be home in time for the funeral. A close friend who is visiting from Florida had worked at the stadium and remembers George very well from the Buffalo sports days.
