DOUCETTE - Gerald "Jerry"
Age 84, of North Tonawanda, passed away on October 17, 2022, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Jerry was born on October 2, 1938 in North Tonawanda, son of the late Edward and Geraldine Doucette. He served in the United States Army. Jerry retired from the North Tonawanda Fire Department in 1993, following retirement he went to work for Wattengel Funeral Home where he worked for many years. Jerry was a member of Payne Ave. Christian Church where he was an Emeritus Trustee. He is the former chairman of North Tonawanda Traffic Safety, past assistant director of North Tonawanda Emergency Management, a member of Sweeney Hose Co #7, Columbia Hook and Ladder Co #1 and member of Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Association of North Tonawanda. Beloved husband of 54 years to Brenda (nee Papoi) Doucette; loving father of John (Patricia) and Scott (Alexandra) Doucette; devoted grandfather of Jessica (Jose) Alas, Elizabeth, Robert and Benjamin Doucette; great grandfather of Leonardo Alas; brother of Valerie (Paul) Belter; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday October 21, 2022 from 4 to 9 PM at the WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, where Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 22, 2022 at 11:30 AM.
