I am so very sorry for the loss of Ivy and his dear wife, Mary. My Dad and I both worked for many years with Ivy at the Main Post office on William Street. It was such a pleasure to see Ivy every day in the timekeeper office. After he retired, I would see him many time as a Walmart greeter and he was definitely an asset to them. I have so many fond memories of Ivy and I was so happy to visit with him and Mary last year and reminisce about the "old days". I will keep the Whiddon family in my prayers.

So very sorry for your loss. He was truly one of a kind. I never heard a negative thing out of him. He was such a sweet man. He was soo inspiring because he was so kind all the time and his smile lit up a room. He will truly be missed and getting a chance to know him inspires me to be a better person.

To The Whiddon Family,
I worked with Ivy at the US Postal Service. He was a wonderful person, very kind and generous. Once he retired and worked at Walmart as a greeterI knew he had found the perfect job for him since he was always friendly and cheerful.
My sincerest condolences on his passing. He was a very special man and he will be missed by many. My thoughts are with the family during this difficult time

As you well know, Your dad was a true blessing to ALL who knew him!! When the news would come of our southern raised boy who became a man with a northern accent was coming with our precious Aunt Mary, and the family, it was like having an extra Christmas!! It ALWAYS brought a family reunion!! His kind and gentle ways and infectious smile will be forever missed!! I am so proud to be able to call him Uncle!! Hugs and kisses to ALL!
