Nick and family,
We are both very sad to have heard the news of JT. I am so sorry we did not hear sooner as we would have been there out of respect for JT. As a fellow goalie I always appreciated what he had accomplished on the ice. We will miss his smile whenever we are working hockey games. How can such a nice kid be crazy enough to be a goalie anyway. He will be missed

Lori,Joe,Nicholas, Michael: I am able to understand our loss a little better when I think of the many people JT touched...those that came to the funeral home, the motorcade, and all the messages that are pouring in. I am also very happy that I was able to have lunch with JT 2 days before he got sick.....the memory of our lunch will never go away. Nicholas and Michael, remember: "When you have to make a decision and don't know what to do, ask yourself...what would Aunt Florence do in this situation?" I love you all

Dear Conti Family,

So sorry to hear about the loss of J.T. Your son touched hundreds of lives, including ours. We were so fortunate to get to know J.T. through my son and my daughter. J.T. and my children became friends at St. Josaphat's and often times seen each other down the street at the Dusza's or when Scott worked hockey games at the Arena. He truly was "one of a kind," always greeting us with that warm smile and acting as if we too were his family. He was a role model, a survivor, and one of the finest human beings we have ever come to know. We will always cherish the memories we have of him. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Conti Family, I was heartbroken to hear of J.T.'s passing. I wish I could offer some inspiring words to spare you your grief, but everything sounds hollow. I guess the best I can do is offer what helped me through difficult times such as these, be thankful for those around you, try to focus on those happy moments you shared with J.T. and find a way, no matter how small, to grow through this loss.

Best regards

Joe and Lori,

JT was a wonderful person. When you guys moved next door to us we had no idea of what great neighbors we were getting. Lorie and I are particularly devastated because we went through the same thing 6 months when our son was killed in a car accident. It is painful to see this happening to you. We are just sick about it. All I can say is 'we know'. As the days pass you will go through many emotions, many difficult moments. There will be sadness but know this, there will be joy also. There will be good things that will come out of this. For example my family is now much closer and we are more intimate and I think gracious and forgiving to one another. We also realize now more than ever that this life is brief. But there is an eternal hope for those who possess Christ, who live by his word. He has promised us a place with him and I know that his words are true. Always hold on to your faith for it is the only thing we take with us when we leave this world. I have also found comfort in the Psalms. And in knowing that our Heavenly Father lost his son and truly understands the pain. I will miss JTs kindness and gentle spirit. I never saw him angry. He was always quiet. And it seemed like he used to wash his car just about every day. He was a happy and content person. We are poorer not that he is gone but heaven is richer. We love you guys. And we are praying.
