April 2, 2023 of the Cattaraugus Seneca Territory at the age of 74 Years. Beloved husband of the late Arletta "Artie" Stevens. Loving father of Kristina (Keke), Deanna, Kelly, Travis, Jamie (Joleen), Evan (Tony) Luke, Wynona Powless and the late Aaron Luke. Grandfather of many great and great great grandchildren. brother of Sandra Abrams and the late Ethel Luke Bray. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Wentland Funeral Home 10634 Main St. (Rt. 62) North Collins, NY where funeral services will take place Thursday at 10 AM. Jim was a member of the Seneca Wolf Clan, CIRVFD, U.S. Marine Vietnam war veteran and a retiree from the F.A.A.

My friendship with Jim lasted over many decades. We were neighbors growing up at Four Corners and spending many years playing and doing the usual things kids on the rez did. When I moved away in the late 60's we lost touch until our paths would cross again when we were both employed by the F.A.A. OKC became a new meeting place for us and other guys from the rez employed by the F.A.A...Mr. Man, Frank and Doug. I feel lucky to have known him as a friend and I know that our paths will cross again. Peace my friend.
