WEKENMANN - James W. In Fort Myers, FL, on May 5, 2020, after a brief illness. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and traveling the world with his wife Mary Lynn. He was a very devoted man of God and to his family. He loved his wife, daughters, sister, and grandchildren dearly. Jim was a graduate of Alfred State College and SUNY Buffalo. He spent many years as a Sales and Application Engineer for Powers/Siemens. Jim was a local business leader, having founded Building Controls and Services with Robert Galdys and Michael Lankes in 1988. By the time he retired in 2010 the company employed close to 100 employees in three offices in NYS. Jim believed in making a difference in one's community and was always involved in multiple service, business, and organizations that were important to him. He served as President of the WNY ASHRAE Chapter and The Mended Hearts. While at BCS he was a member of the IRC. Jim was a member of the East Aurora Country Club, the East Aurora Moose, the East Aurora Rotary and Kiwanis, and The Sons of the Legion. When in Florida, he was active in the North Fort Myers Rotary. He has been a member of Immaculate Conception Church for many years. Jim was predeceased by his parents, William and Mildred Wekenmann. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lynn (Woodworth); his dear daughters Amy Morey (Dale) and Lori York. He is also survived by his stepsons Brian, Jason (Kelly), and Trevor Hahl. Jim so loved his grandchildren: Caitlin, Luke, Isabel, Autumn, Delilah, Nathan, and Erin. He is survived by his sister Margaret A. Fruck and preceded in death by his sister Kathy M. Hamberger, who is survived by her husband Mark. Jim was loved by his nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Jim had a wonderful laugh, and his amazing smile will be missed by all who knew him. Due to the present situation, Jim's Celebration of Life will be delayed until later this summer or early fall, with a date to be announced. Donations in Jim's memory can be made to The Mended Hearts, The American Heart Association, or The American Kidney Fund. WE LOVE YOU AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
