Joan COUGHLIN Obituary
(nee Braven)
October 31, 2021, age 91. Beloved wife of 43 years to Edward H. Coughlin, a Buffalo Attorney who passed away in 1999; loving mother of Mark E. (Mary Anne) and Michael P. Coughlin; devoted grandmother of Adam G. (Kimberly) and Matthew E. Coughlin. Joan, a graduate and later an English teacher at the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart was born in Buffalo and was a member of the first graduating class of Rosary Hill College, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, followed by a Master of Science degree from Buffalo State Teachers College. Family and friends may call Friday from 4-7 PM at THE DIETRICH FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 2480 Kensington Avenue, Amherst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 AM, at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Snyder, New York. Please assemble at Church. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Western New York Chapter, 6215 Sheridan Dr. #100, Buffalo, NY 14221.
