Joan GREGORY

GREGORY - Joan (nee Magavern)
Age 91, of Hamburg, died on January 17, 2022. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald Cameron Gregory; mother of Heidi (Mark) Walling, Stephanie (Francis) Chan, Wendy Londa, Julie (Jonathan) Vogan; grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of seven. She is predeceased by her parents, Mildred and Willard Magavern and her siblings, Joyce, Willard Jr., and Julie. Joan was a lifetime resident of Hamburg. She graduated from Colby-Sawyer College with a BS in Medical Technology. A longtime choir member of Revive Wesleyan Church of Hamburg, her commitment to Christ was her life's focus and was evident in all she did. She stressed the importance of volunteering and gave much of her time to The American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels (now FeedMore WNY), among many others. As a skilled knitter, she made countless baby sweaters and hats for newborns of friends and to donate to the neonatal units in hospitals in the region. A Memorial Service will be held at Revive Wesleyan Church on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11 AM. Facemasks required.
