Dear Eddie and family,
Joan's love for life, her family, her work and her God were always evident. From the days at the store on Seneca Street through the past twenty-five years when she has been our dentist hygenist, she was always upbeat and in love with life. May she continue in our memories and safely in the arms of Jesus.

To the entire Hassenfratz family, Julie and I send our condolences. I only met Mr. & Mrs. H once or twice, but Eddie and Karl's family stories brought them into my life in living color over the 15 years that I worked alongside Ed at WPXI in Pittsburgh.

Dear family - I was so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I stood at the bus stop with her for several years. I remember her giving me a medal - the patron saint to help with cancer when my late husband was struggling with the illness. She even came to my husband's wake. She was so very kind and had so much faith. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Although I am sorry for your loss and know you will miss her, I'm sure she is happy to be reunited with her children that went before her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
