Beloved husband of the late Sharon (Roll) LaPlaca; Son of the late James and late Mary (Cabara) LaPlaca; Brother -in-law of Denise (late John) Bunting, Michael Roll, Maureen Rosenthal, Patrick Roll and the late Rosemary (James) Lynch; also survived by nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Our parents were first cousins. Joel and I went to Maryville high school. Joel was one year behind me and graduated in 1956. Joel was very low-key. The last time we were together, we went through our yearbooks. Things were so much simpler then. I wished we would have gotten together more often. God bless you, Cousin.
