John and his family and I had much contact during our work days together at Prudential. We did enjoy it very much. We lost some of our contact when he and his family moved to the Buffalo area, for business reasons, but did see each other on occasion. I still think of John and his family often and do miss them much.

My dearest Elaine and Family, I was shocked and saddened upon learning of your tragic loss. John was a dear friend and associate going back many years, to our very early days with Prudential in Rochester. I respected and admired him as a Prudential associate and I loved him as a great friend. He will forever be included in my thoughts and prayers going forward. On behalf of my entire family (including Paul and Phyllis), I extend to you and your family, our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. I'm sure your strong faith in God will give you much strength and courage during this time of deep sorrow.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. John hired me at Prudential on Elmwood in the early 80's. He was truly a great boss and mentor. I will miss him. Now I work with Don Marasco at Ingram Micro in a great twist of fate. You have been and will be in my daily Rosary

John DeJohn…so many great memories, where does one start? John hired me at Prudential in 1978 and proceeded to treat me like a son. We ate dinner at his home surrounded by his family before going out to meet with clients. First time in my life I ate tripe! When the night was over we drove back to his home for dessert. He did this with everyone on his staff. If you worked with John you became part of his family. Thank you Elaine for sharing your family with us, for your hospitality, for all the delicious meals and for that sweet smile of yours that always greeted us. You and the kids are in my prayers. And thank you John for all the laughs, for your friendship, for your caring ways and for your help along the way. It was a great ride. Rest in peace my friend.
