Of Lancaster N.Y. Passed away unexpectedly. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Fischer) Moehrle; son of the late Paul and Ruth Moehrle; brother-in-law of Joseph (late Christine) Fischer and Thomas and Constance Fischer; also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. John was a proud volunteer veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the 199th Light Infantry Brigade (1969-1970). He was the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal with first and second Oak Leaf Cluster. He Retired as Chief of Operations - Jail Management Division, Erie County Sheriff's Office and was a life Member of Col. Matt Urban Memorial Post No. 7275, VFW. Friends may call at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway, Alden, NY Thursday, December 26th from 1-4 pm followed by Military Honors at 4 pm. Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
