Dearest Lauren, my thoughts are with you today on the anniversary of your heart breaking loss. From experience, sadly, I know that these anniversaries of birth and death of our beloved children are always heart rendering, no matter how many years go by. Our children should not have left before us. Thoughts of your sweet Joseph and big HUGS. For you. My heart is always with yours.

THE BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Joe is going to be remembered by people who knew him, and even by people who didn't. I went to school with Joe and it's depressing to think what it's going to be like next year. I know things will be different. He's in a happier place now looking down on everybody. I wish Joe's family good luck, stay strong!

To the Ciancio family, My sincerest sympathies to all of you in this time of mourning. As a mother of a full term stillborn daughter I truly understand the feelings you are going through. The loss, the hopes and dreams left unfulfilled, the emptiness and the oh so aweful feelings of aloneness and despair. I did not have the honor of knowing Baylee and seeing what a wonderful person she would have been. You had that honor and joy with Joseph and that can never be taken away. Your memories will be with you forever and so will he. Joseph will be with you, watching over you for the rest of your lives until you join him one day. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Joseph but my daughter was a close friend of Kim and I hear nothing but great things about him. His wake was beautiful and the amount of people that showed up must amaze you at how many people he has touched in his short life. May God be with you in this time of need as he was with me. I am truly sorry for your loss. Lisa Chaffin

Just know that you all are, and will continue to be, in my thoughts and prayers.
