Joseph Kawczynski Obituary

Kawczynski, Joseph W. III

Feb 6, 2025

Age 68, passed away peacefully. Loving son of Norine (Schoy) and the late Joseph Kawczynski Jr. Dear brother of Charles (Nancy) Kawczynski, Mary (Kevin) Fitzgerald, Lucy (Edward) Holmes, Jude (Elaine) Kawczynski, and Gerard (Cheryl) Kawczynski. Beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews and several great nieces. Additionally, he is survived by many friends, coworkers and co-residents of People Inc. Boston ICF, Bowmansville, NY. Friends may call Friday, February 14th from 4-7PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3155 Orchard Park Rd. (716) 675-9027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 15th at 12:00PM St. John Vianney Church. Please assemble at church. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the People Inc. Foundation. Joe loved watching sports mostly the Bills and Sabres. He would have no restraint in expressing his excitement or disgust for the play going on and if things got too unbearable, unlike most of us, he would wheel away and find something more deserving of his time. While his vocabulary was minimal, he was able to make his feelings known and expressed his needs and wants. He also had a great sense of humor and often would tease or play tricks on those he loved. The family would like to thank the staff at Millard Fillmore Suburban for their kind and respectful care of Joe. Online condolences at www.CANNANFH.com

I knew Joe and his Mom from the Special Needs Mass at St. John Vianney. He was always very selective about who he prayed for. God bless him! We were privileged to have been part of his story.

Lucy and family- Although it has been several decades, when I heard of Joe´s passing I was saddened. Yet, at the same time. I was refreshed. Memories of long ago came rushing back. The hardness of the years, softened by the moment. I remember Joe as a young man who loved his family. But, most particularly, his love for you. It showed in every expressive way that he could muster. His eyes seemed to sparkle whenever you entered the room. It was a love that was pure and unrequited. There were no limits and no restrictions. It was just deep personal love. He taught me the lessons of life every time I saw his reaction.
There were so many other memories that flooded my mind. Memories that have made up the tapestry of my life. Memories that I am grateful for and never will forget. You and your family have always been in my thoughts.
So now, Cindy and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. I hope the memories that Joe made and shared will forever warm your hearts and bring a smile to your faces. May those memories always be a blessing to you.
Godspeed to Joe on his journey to eternal life. He earned his place in heaven. May his light and love always shine down on all of you. God Bless.
