SCHUBAUER - Joseph P.
Passed away June 22, 2022 at Hospice Buffalo. Born September 10, 1929 in Buffalo he was the son of Charles and Anna (Stetter) Schubauer. Joseph served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and worked in the accounting department for Harrison Radiator Div of GM retiring in 1990. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Past Faithful Navigator, was involved with the Boy Scouts of America where he was a Silver Beaver recipient, American Legion, and the Lockport JC. Joseph was an active member with the former St. Mary's RC Church in Lockport, where he was president of the Holy Name Society, served on the parish council, and was a Eucharist Minister. Joseph is survived by his wife of 69 years Carol J. (Matrone) Schubauer; children, Joseph, Sheri, David, Daniel, and James Schubauer; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Charles (late Jane), Frank (late Betty), Leo (late Rosemarie), Madge (late Clarence) Gerber, Rita (late Fritz) Haenel, Harold (late Mary), and Rose Ann (late Charles) Gerber.
