Josephine Noecker Obituary

Of Bethesda, MD, passed away at the age of 93. She was the loving wife of the late Francis C. Beloved mother of Mary Ann (Robert Flashman), Kathrine (Juan Nevarez), Cynthia (Martin McHugh), and Julie Noecker. She was a devoted grandmother to her ten grandchildren and "GG" to her four great-grandchildren, as well as a cherished aunt to many dear nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, August 16th, from 5-7 pm at Wentland Funeral Home, 10634 Main St., North Collins, NY 14611. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17th, at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church, 2017 Halley Rd., North Collins, NY. Interment will follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery.

Josie and Fran took in my dad, Fritz von Fricken (1905 - 1999), after Fran discovered their distantly related common ancestry (Gut Bomhof, Vechta, Germany). My immediate family, Linda and four adult children met all the Noeckers in return. It was a privilege to get to know Josie and Fran. I always loved Josie's curiosity and Joie de vivre and can still picture her in my mind's eye, playing the piano in our living room. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this challenging time. Josie led the "life well lived" and we are all fortunate and blessed to have had her touch our lives.
