Josephine PETERS Obituary
August 14, 2022, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Ralph Peters; devoted mother of Barbara (Mark) Ritchie, Mary Peters- Hogle, Dr. Nancy (Brian Bystryk) Peters, Ralph (Kathie Garmone) Peters and John (Donna) Peters; cherished grandmother of Molly and Julie Hogle, Sean, Lauren, Caitlin Ritchie, Callie Bystryk; great-grandmother of Amadeus Zefi and Layla Locker; dear sister of the late Dr. Jacqueline (Paul) Paroski; loving aunt of Dr. Elizabeth (Dr. Kevin) Barlog. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 5580 Main St., Williamsville, on Thursday, August 18th at 9:30 AM (please assemble at Church). Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by the DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC. Online condolences may be offered at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com

She was a wonderful woman. One of my most treasured memories was fishing at their property as a young teen in Machias where I caught my first trout. Mrs Peters cooked it for me, and I think it was the only fish we caught that day and it was special that she cooked it separately from our regular dinner to make it an occasion for me. She touched so many of our lives and made us all feel like family. God bless her and her family.
