Kathleen Redman Obituary

Age 77, of Cuba, NY and formerly of Holland, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Cuba Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1947 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Edmund A. and Jane (Cannon) Fischer. She had worked as a phone representative for Verizon at the Main Place Mall in Buffalo and previously for New York Telephone at the Buffalo branch. Kathleen loved her pets. She especially enjoyed her horses and riding them along the trails. She is survived by her two daughters: Rachel (Dustin) Best-Frank of Las Vegas, NV and Sarah Best of Chaffee, NY; her siblings: Mary Jane (late Garry) Smythe of Buffalo and Edmund (Pam) Fischer of Lancaster, NY; five grandchildren: Alexis McElheny, Paxton and Parker Best, and Jessica and Ty Petri; four nieces: Melissa Smythe, Allison (Chris) Smythe-Gulino, Emily and Kelsey Fischer; and great-nieces, Phoebe Smythe-Gulino and Luna Fischer. There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held of Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 2pm-5pm at Sarah's residence, 3 Airmont Drive, Orchard Park, where a prayer service will be held at 5pm. Memorials may be made to the SPCA in Cattaraugus County, 2944 Rt. 16 N, Olean, NY 14760 or at http://www.spcacattco.org/donate. Memorials may also be made to the donor's charity of choice.
