Farrell, Kenneth D., 82, of Derby, NY, passed January 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Be- loved husband of 63 years of Sandra (nee Stubbe) Farrell; cherished father to Elizabeth (James) Lorentz, Matthew (Kelly), Kenneth J. (Julie), Andrew (Natalia Owsiany), and Jennifer Farrell;
adored grandfather of Ian (Christina Riccio) McCuen, Brian (Alex Byrd), Nolan (Savannah), Meg (Charles Hahn) McCuen, Colin (Caroline Bullock), Celeste, Luke (Lauren Covetta), Claire (Malcolm Doepke), Emma, and Grace. Ken was the youngest of 13 children to the late Francis and Helen Farrell. He is survived by his brother, Edward (late Bernice), and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Farrell and Kenneth Fellner. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by Elizabeth (Edward) Dale, Virginia (Earle) Smith, Eleanor (Lynn) Wickham, Bernard (Elsie), John (Lora), William, Harriet Nuchereno, Marianne (Steven) Olick, Kathleen Fellner, James (Teresa), Alma (Peter) Andreana, his father and mother-in-law, James and Clarice Stubbe, and his sister-in-law Sharon (Ronald) Hettich. Kenneth worked for the Erie County Health Department for 43 years, where he retired as an administrator. He also worked as an independent jewelry setter for leading jewelry manufacturers in Buffalo, designed jewelry and owned
his own business, Kendra Designs. Kenneth was an artist who enjoyed painting landscapes, as well as an accomplished craftsman, who designed and built his own home at the age of 24. Kenneth was a dedicated veteran of the U.S. Army. He also served his community with the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts for ten years, and was a CCD instructor for St. Vincent dePaul Church. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Medaille College. Kenneth was known by all to be the consummate
true gentleman, and blessed this world
with his integrity, character, humor, and
love for all. Friends may visit on Friday,
January 28th, from 3-8 PM, at LAKESIDE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4199 Lake Shore Road, Hamburg, NY 14075. Prayers at the funeral home will be held Saturday, January 29th, at 10:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 AM, at St. John Paul II Parish, 2052 Lakeview Road, Lake View, NY 14085. Entombment at Lakeside Cemetery will follow the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the
