Kent Conshafter Obituary

Conshafter, Kent E.

Feb. 15, 1957 - Feb. 17, 2024

Born February 15, 1957 in Buffalo NY to the late Harold and Dolores Conshafter. Passed away after an unexpected diagnosis over Christmas of pancreatic cancer. He was pre deceased by babies Kent and Karsen Conshafter. He is survived by Katie (nee Carr) Conshafter, his wife, best friend, lover, partner and the most important person in his life. Kent would say I can't wait to kiss my Irish lass good morning, starting my day off perfect. He is also survived by his cousin and lifelong friend Brad Conschafter, who he loved like a younger brother. An educated man, he was a graduate of Williamsville South, Niagara University and Western Michigan Law School. He had lived in Michigan, Maryland and Florida but enjoyed most of his life in Williamsville and in their home aka the "kentarosa". Kent and Katie were proud owners of their own business Hanover Abstract. Both book smart and street smart he would often admit he was no choirboy but he did enjoy singing. A good athlete who enjoyed all sports even tether ball for God's sake. He played golf at both South and Niagara, he always enjoyed "playing around", so to speak. Further survived by cousins Bob Conshafter and Donette Darrow. Kent also had over 45 years of friendship with his Niagara roommates, Dave "Scotchie" Cameron and Tim "Robbie" Robinson. Kent is also survived by Katie's family and many friends. His prodigious gifts may not have been known to many but in the world of harness racing his knowledge was recognized through the many winner circle pictures as owner in his beloved game room. He will be whipping and slashing his rolled up "grammy" to get to the finish line with God. Thank you to the immeasurable support and comfort from Buffalo Hospice. Donations to Buffalo Hospice in Kent's name. Flowers gratefully declined. Family will be present Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 4 PM-7PM at (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 5200 Sheridan Dr. Williamsville, NY.Share condolences at www.AMIGONE.com

Although, I didn´t know Kent Conshafter, personally, his obituary shows Kent to be a very special person who will be missed by many. Katie, I am very sad over Kents passing. You guys were always very good to me. I will always remember the wins we had starting with Marquise and Mr. Trentonian aka Mr. Kentonian. I am sad that I never had a chance to tell Kent that I really enjoyed his company and may he rest in peace in heaven.
