Laszlo was a super Hungarian Genealogy researcher. He had found documents from my family which I never dreamed to ever find myself or existed. For example: The list of passengers (Manifest Document) when my family of 4 arrived/immigrated from Munchen Germany to NYC' Idlewild International Airport on 4 July 1949. I was 4 years old and the flight was 18 hours long.
I am really super excited to find more, more, more genealogy info about my ancestors in Hungary.

Les and I were tennis teammates at Riverside High School. He had a smooth service motion, very technically sound.
Les sold me the first insurance policy that I ever had.
Les was a real good guy. I know that he helped out a lot of people of Hungarian descent, using his fluent Hungarian to good advantage. He always worked hard to help people out. That is who he was and always will be.
May God bless you always, Les. I hope to play some tennis with you
when I go over to the other side where you are now.
May God bless you always.

Les and I graduated from high school together. As teammates on the Riverside High School tennis team, we shared our great love of the sport. Les sold me my first life insurance policy when we both were in our 20´s. We met for lunch every time that Les ventured north from New Orleans.
I miss my friend, Les, and surely miss our yearly lunches. Les gave a lot to others, so for that I want him to be remembered.
God bless and keep you always, Les

He was a true Magyar And a true American patriot. He stood for the values of our brave freedom fighters of 56 and for the belief in the American dream. A truly noble man. His passion and knowledge for genealogy was in my experience second to none and he helped thousands of people reconnect with long lost loved ones. He was also admin and moderator in several online sites for Hungarian Americans. The backbone of many groups. I will miss him deeply.

I was saddened to learn that Laci has passed away. As I reflected on my memories of him, memories of all the Jósa Family back in the late 1950s/early 1960´s came rushing back; a pleasant reverie. In my memory, Laci always had a sparkling, genial smile on his face and was outgoing and friendly. Our lives took us down separate paths. I last saw him briefly about 20 years ago, and he was still smiling, and outgoing and friendly.
My deepest, heartfelt sympathy to all the Jósa siblings and their families at this time of great loss and sadness.

Les was a great guy who always wanted to help others. We were on the tennis team together, and had our great love for tennis in common. I will greatly miss having lunch with Les every year when he came north to Buffalo for our RHS picnics. God bless you Les, my friend.

Forever grateful to Les for finding my husband Thomas´s and his sister Marion´s long lost Hungarian father in Tucson. This changed all their lives and started the healing process. We FaceTimed Les regularly. He was a truly generous, kind hearted, smart man with a beautiful laugh. We send our deepest sympathy and love.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Laci's passing. Such a wonderful man who loved his family fiercely. Laszlo helped so many of us with his natural talent to search Hungarian birth records. Speaking for myself, I will miss him always answering my call for help to translate Hungarian songs stb. Thinking of his family and hoping your wonderful memories will bring you comfort. May he rest peacefully.

He was a special person who gave so many of us insight into our family history. I will forever be grateful for what I learned from him about my Hungarian grandparents who immigrated to Canada. The story he shared about his families journey from Hungary was unbelievable. I still remember that picture from Germany. May he Rest In Peace.

We will never forget Meeting "Les" at our home in Cape Coral, Florida and the night he stayed here! We all went to a Hungarian Restaurant in Fort Myers and he really liked the Aurhentic Magyar Food. A photo here with my wife Helen and "Les" at that restaurant. May he Rest in Peace and until we meet again my friend, Amen.

Really sorry to read this sad news.
Remembering Laci and the many hours we spent discussing Hungarian genealogy, history, heraldry. He even found a copy of the manifest document when our family first arrived in Idlewild IA NY in 1949.

Condolences to the family and friends. Grateful to have known Les and to be part of a breakfast group that met regularly to hash out the world problems. Les loved his native country of Hungary and the genealogy of his ancestry. Most of all he loved his family. He will be missed. God Bless!!
