Leon HENDERSON Obituary
Entered into eternal rest August 2, 2022. Devoted husband of Cecelia (nee Brown) Henderson; cherished father of Celia H. (Hiawatha) Hughes of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Leon Henderson, Jr., of Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and Tanya E. Henderson of Oakland, California; grandfather of Jade M. Fleming of Norfolk, Virginia, Joi M. Settles of Washington, D.C., Raina S. Henderson and Ragan M. Henderson of Palisades Park, New Jersey, Trenton (Lauren) Hughes of Seminole, Florida and Travis Hughes of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; great-grandfather of Jasir, Carter, Tatum and Haven; brother of Doris Jean Anderson of Dallas, Texas; also survived by a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. Dr. Henderson will be missed and remembered by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 13, 2022, 11 AM - 12:30 PM at St. John Baptist Church, 184 Goodell Street, Buffalo, NY, where a Celebration of Life will immediately follow. Entombment Serenity Mausoleum, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Henderson was a member of the Alpha Kappa Boulè of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, under whose auspices a Ritual will be conducted Saturday at 11:30 AM.
