Age 99. Beloved daughter of the late Robert and Hildred (nee Newell) Richmond; devoted friend of Kathryn Stabb, Richard Laub and Heidi Meyer. Marcia worked in the lab as a medical technologist at Buffalo General Hospital for many years, volunteered at the Buffalo Science Museum where she was part of the archaeological dig in Byron, NY and volunteered at the Nine Lives Cat Rescue. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 4th, from 4-7 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Dr. (at Parker Blvd), where prayers will be offered 11 AM Thursday, November 6th, (Nothing Wednesday) followed by entombment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Marcia was one of my Medical Technology instructors at the Buffalo General Hospital School of Medical Technology in class of 1975-1976. I stayed working at Buffalo General after passing my Registry, so we were not exactly coworkers in the same laboratory, as I worked Hematology on the second floor in old building, then seventh floor in new for a number of years, while she was on the eighth floor of old building. I guess you could say we were co workers at the same facility. Marcia was a good instructor and very deliberate and precise. I enjoyed my rotation on the eighth floor. I do remember her and Helen Struezbrecker who was also an instructor in Blood Banking, being good friends. I found out in a roundabout way, that they both enjoyed horseback riding and were familiar with the horse stables that were on Amherst St in Buffalo near Lincoln Park going towards Delaware Ave. I had lived within a fairly quick bus ride down Amherst St from those stables & remember being fascinated that they were right there in the city. It is a great tribute to see that Marcia lived a long, productive life and I am glad to have known her and been one of her students. Blessings to her memory and family at this time.
