"Rosa" (nee Bauer)
Passed November 6th, 2022. Beloved
wife of the late William Bettendorf, the love of her life. Treasured mother of Janice (Raymond Stapell) Rosa, Richard (companion Lydia Green) Rosa, Anne (Robert Maggio Jr.) Rosa, Lauren (William) Sparks, step-daughter Lisa Bettendorf Crean (companion Thomas Pezzino), and extended family Robert (MaryBeth) Crean. Loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and great-grammy of 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 sisters, Jean Lucidi (Nick)and Barbara Schiffauer (Larry) of Pittsburgh, PA. Survived by adored nieces and nephews. Marjorie had a long career as Executive Assistant to many, from Catholic school principals to the Presidents of Tinney Cadillac and Braun Cadillac. She leaves behind a legacy of nurturing friendships through the years and miles, with lifetime friends of all ages. Marjorie, along with Bill, was always ready to facilitate the gathering, plan the event and open their doors for all to come together with stories, refreshments and laughter. The family extends a special heartfelt "thank you" to her caring aides who helped this fiercely independent woman gracefully navigate the last few years of her life. A visitation will be held on Friday November 25th, 2022, from 4-8pm at The Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst,NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 26th, 2022,at 9:30am at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst,NY. Please assemble at church. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Hospice Buffalo. Please share online condolences at

Marge was an amazing person who made everyone glad to be her friend. She had strong values and was mom to those of us whose parents had passed away. She was kind and loving and I am so grateful to have known her.

Prayers to the family. Marge was my mentor at Braun Cadillac for many years. She was looked up to by all. We had wonderful times at work or out with Bill and employees. Those were the days. Marge your with Bill again, Rest my dear , I will truly miss you.
