Passed away suddenly. Devoted father of Evan Dietrich. Devoted son of Joseph E. "Jed" Dietrich, II and Kathleen (nee Stuber) Dietrich. Loving brother of Joseph E. "Jed" Dietrich, III, Esq. (Colleen P. Dietrich, Esq.). Cherished uncle of Grace M. Dietrich, Esq., Liesl M. Dietrich (Fiancé William Richard Zacher, II) and Joseph E. Dietrich, IV. Loving nephew of Penelope C. Sherwin. Also survived by dear family and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 4-7:30 pm at The Dietrich Funeral Home Inc., 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY 14226. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 10:30 am at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst, NY 14226. Please assemble at church. The Mass will be live streamed at https://www.ctksnyder.org/camera-live-stream/. Marty was an integral part of The Dietrich Funeral Home, caring and serving families for many years. Marty was an avid skier, sailor, snowboard enthusiast, skateboarder and he excelled at windsurfing. He loved nature and rescued many animals. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar and drums. His gentle nature will be missed and always remembered. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the SPCA https://yourspca.org/. Marty was the best. I think of him often, and I am sorry to hear one of the nicest people in the world has passed. I loved seeing him at the beach, great memories forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Marty and I spent many summers together growing up. We would play on the beach, swim, fish, and play games throughout the bay at night. Marty will truly be missed.

The original "boy of Summer", Marty was an integral part of the Silver Bay family. He was always enjoying all that the beach offered, swimming , boating, volleyball and friends. I know we will miss this kind, loving man. Love from the Birney Moores.

Some of my greatest memories growing up were spending time with Marty. We got into more mischief together than I can share here! He had the best heart, and I will cherish those memories forever! Marty comes from a great family, and my deepest condolences go out to them.
