Mary FERGUSON Obituary
November 3, 2021. Daughter of the late Richard C. and Jane Ann (nee O'Connor) Ferguson; dearest sister of Richard C., Jr. (Carolyn); dear aunt of Richard C. III (Felisa) Ferguson, Elizabeth (Matthew) Robinson, Ann (James) Palinski and David (Lesa) Ferguson; also survived by many beloved great-nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was a caring nurse and retired from Mercy Hospital after 45 years of service. Friends may call Sunday 3-7 PM at the HOY FUNERAL HOME, 3855 Seneca Street, West Seneca. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, at St. Martin of Tours Church, at 9:30 AM (please assemble at church). Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation of WNY, and/or Erie County SPCA. Arrangements entrusted to REDDINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 716-822-1260.

My mother (the late Doris Hicks) enjoyed working with Mary Ann as a nurse's aid for many years at Mercy Hospital and always spoke so highly of her nursing skills. I remember meeting her many times as a child at the hospital picnics and functions. She was always happy and a delight to see! My deepest sympathy; so very sorry for your loss. She was truly a ray of sunshine!

This wonderful nurse named my daughter for me when she was born 31 years ago at Mercy Hospital. It was my 4th c-section and 4th daughter!
She helped me so much with my baby.
I couldn´t come up with a name , she said "how about Tara"? Well, we loved it! And Tara it is .
We are sorry for your loss. I´ll never forget her. And Tara works at Mercy Hospital
