RUTKOWSKI - Max D. March 16, 2013, age 85, of Cheektowaga, NY, beloved husband of 62 years to Dolores J. (nee Pasquariello) Rutkowski; dearest father of Deborah (James) Kipler, Jeanne (John) Feldmann and Maxine Wiberg; dear grandfather of Corrie (Gretchen) Feldmann, Heather (Andrew) Lohrman, Jamie (Mary) Feldmann, Jonathan (Melissa) Rutkowski and Eric (Sarah) Feldmann; dear G.G. of seven great-grandchildren; brother of Lucille (Paul) Kempf; brother-in-law of John (Adrienne) Pasquariello, Barbara Licata, Shirley Gorski and Linda (Dennis) Wrazen; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM and from Queen of Martyrs Church at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Mr. Rutkowski was a Veteran of WW II, a retiree of Joy and Joy Technology; and a member of American Legion Post 1477, VFW Post 2930, Queen of Martyrs Holy Name Society, 52 Week Club, Golden Agers and Bingo. I only knew Max and Dolores through QMC, I sat behind them every Saturday or Sunday and I will truly miss his bright smile. I always looked forward to seeing them. Such a happy couple. May he rest in peace. God bless your family

I only knew Max for a few months while he was at Garden Gate.I adored him!He was a breath of fresh air.He was a delight to see everyday that I worked.I miss him and so do his peers at Garden Gate.He always had a smile and quick wit.Max was always willing to join in on activities.He is truly missed by all of us at Garden Gate.May the memories of this wonderful man get the family through this difficult time.

I know how much Max will be missed because he was such a good man; being his sisters Sorority Sister I spent much time at his loving parents home and Max made time spent even greater.Everyone loved Max.
