Maxine ROY Obituary
Passed away peacefully in hospice February 16, 2022, at the age of 85. Predeceased by her loving husband John C. Roy. She is survived by her children, Lisa (Jack) Baron and Mark (Kellie) Roy; cherished grandchildren, Elise Roy (fiancée Nathan Burgers), Melanie Roy, Jessica Baron (David Rumold), Lauren Baron, Jackson Baron, and two fabulous great-grandchildren, Kellan and Mikayla Rumold. Maxine graduated from Buffalo State Teachers College and taught briefly in the Buffalo School District. She loved to read, travel, discuss current events and get together with family and friends. Maxine was our family historian, picture taker and story keeper. She will be forever missed. Please join us on Saturday, May 21st at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, 1525 Sheridan Dr,. at 10:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be followed by a Celebration of Life and luncheon at the Buffalo Club, 388 Delaware Ave. Please consider donations in Maxine's memory to the Susan B. Anthony Museum, 17 Madison Ave., Rochester, NY 14608 or the Buffalo History Museum, 1 Museum Ct., Buffalo, NY 14216. Arrangements by C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc.
