Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Fernan) Summers. Loving father of Michael (Mary T.) Summers, Mary (Frank) Scamacca, Kathleen (Mark) Meyerhofer, and Daniel (Beth) Summers. Proud grandfather of nine grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 25th, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr. (at Main St.), Amherst, NY 14226. Please assemble at church. Flowers gratefully declined. Michael was a 20-year retired Detective of the Amherst Police Department and a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He was also a member of the Snyder Fire Department and a 50-year member of the Amherst Fire Council. Online condolences may be placed at www.thedietrichfuneralhome.com
