Nicholas Christie Obituary

CHRISTIE-Nicholas August 24, 2007; beloved husband of Mary (Petrakis) Christie; loving father of Diane (David) DiGangi; loving grandfather of Christina and Nicholas DiGangi; son of the late Constantine and Aphrodite (Kiriaaoulakou) Christie; brother of late Christopher (Iona) Christy and the late Elpie Christie; brother-in-law of Vivian (late Charles) Dillon; survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive friends Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the PERNA-PELLEGRINO FUNERAL HOME, 1306 Hertel Ave. (near Colvin). Masonic Service celebrated Monday evening 7 PM by members of the Western Star Lodge #1185, formerly Lakeland Lodge, followed by a Trisagion Prayer Service. Family and friends are asked to gather at the Hellenic Orthodox Church of Annunciation (Utica St.) Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment at Arcacia Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nicholas' memory to the Hellenic Orthodox Church. Arrangements by Constance J. Perna-Pellegrino.

Nick Christie volunteered with my dad at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. He along with my father helped train me to become the volunteer I am today. Another volunteer is gone, but will not be forgotten. Nick I don't mean this in disrespect, but I am glad you aren't suffering anymore. Thank you for infinite wisdom and the lunch table will never be the same, along with the dinner table at the Volunteer Recognition. God Bless!
