I absolutely remember the first time I met Pat was when she and Dick invited me out to dinner, while I Carol & I were dating. I was so nervous meeting Carol’s older sister. That dinner showed me what a wonderful family I was becoming part of, and how special Pat (& Dick) was. We have enjoyed so many good times over the past 35 years, yet I have a hard time expressing how much you will be missed. From Cheektowaga to Grand Island, we always seemed to get together. Whether it was at the house or at that crazy fall gathering in Bradford, PA we always had a great time. Those times will be missed, as will you. As I wipe tears from my eyes, may God bless and keep you close.

My dear, sweet sister. How do I tell you thank you for all that you gave me, did for me and taught me? For all the patience, kindness, understanding and love that you gave me willingly and unconditionally? Your guidance led me on the right path and allowed me to have the life I enjoy today. I will continue to draw strength from your example. The many testimonials are witness to your unselfish acts of kindness. Your legacy will live on in all of those that you have touched. The pain of your loss will fade with time but your loving memory will carry us, continue to give us strength and help to heal our broken hearts.
All My Love,
Baby Sister Carol

A Mother's Love is a special love
That runs so deep and true.
A love that's sent from heaven above
To touch the heart of you.
A love that will lift you up
Should your world come crashing down.
It teaches you to reach for the stars
With both feet firmly on the ground.
I have known such a Mother's Love
It's been with me from the start;
And that is why there is for you, Mother
This enduring love within my heart.

As I pen this, my heart is heavy. Cherished memories are running rampant through my mind since her passing... far too many to list. There is a line from a song that has been lilting through my head...
"But how do you thank someone, who has taken you from crayons to perfume? It isn't easy... but I'll try..."
To Pat with Love....
Because of this wonderful woman, my life took a different path than I'm sure it might have had she not included me in her's. How do I adequately convey each nuance of that beautiful, quirky, loving, giving person, into one small note? It would take pages and pages to even come close, and I'm afraid I would still fall very short.
She was funny and fun, adventurous, beautiful inside and out. Her laughter was genuine, her patience unending, and she was generous beyond measure. She made me feel like family and encouraged me to look at things from a very different point of view that eventually would lead me to take an artistic journey through life. That meant more to me than she could ever possibly know.
I heard the beat of her drummer, and I was inspired.
How do you thank someone for making your life richer? I can only pray, she knows.

Dear Uncle Dick & cousins Debbie, Pam, & Donna:
Take heart that "Auntie Patti" is and will always be with each and everyone of us. She touched everyone's heart and made all our lives richer by being here and knowing her. She was the one that everyone rang to find out people's phone numbers & addresses, to find out where they were and what they were up to lately. If she didn't know, she knew who to call and would get back to you with the answers. She was the rock and the cornerstone for the family. She will be deeply missed.

DEAR RICHARD & FAMILY...I HAVE WORKED FOR PAT'S BROTHER GEORGE & SANDY BECKETT SINCE 1969. IT WAS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO TALK TO HER, WHEN SHE WAS WORKING IN THE GRAND ISLAND OFFICE. I OCCASIONALLY HAD A CHANCE TO SEE HER & SHE ALWAYS HAD AN ENCOURAGING WORD TO SAY. ONLY GOD CAN HEAL THE HEART AND TRULY KNOW THE GRIEF YOU BEAR. I AM A WITNESS TO THIS. SHE WILL TRULY BE MISSED. GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU.
