I had no idea about my dear, sweet friend's passing. He ran across my mind and I thought I would try to find him on the web. I am so hurt to find out this way. I can't stop the tears from flowing. We shared some amazing times together in Charlotte. He was my buddy to the end! I miss hearing his laugh or how his voice would rise when he was telling a good story. It saddens me to know I will never get the opportunity to catch up with him and see that crooked smile again. To God be the glory, for He knows the reasons for taking him at this time. I will find peace knowing Paul is at rest with our Maker. To the Byrd family and Kiana, (he talked about you all the time...you were a little girl then...) I am so sorry for your loss.

To the entire Byrd family, I am so sorry for your loss. All the kids on St. Louis Ave. grew up like siblings, we fought and we played. We stuck up for one another when the outside came crashing in. I feel like I've lost a little brother. Prayers to Chris, Tim and Mrs. Byrd

It kills me to write this I don't even know were to begin. If I knew last Monday was the last time I was going to see you I would have hugged you a little longer. Our last conversation was about Kylee and my babyshower, I knew the birth of your gradaughter was something you were really looking forward to. These last 3years we've grown so close,we got to learn so much about each other. I thank God that we were able to mend our relationship before God called you home. To know that you left this earth and you and I were on GREAT terms brings me peace. There's nothing I wish I would have said or did differently. Everyone that I have talked to since you passed said the same things, that you were loving, caring, and always gave to help others. The amount of love you've been receiving is unreal. I guess you really was "the man"...
