Paul was an incredibly intelligent gentleman who was involved in projects that changed the course of humanity. Yet he was as down to earth as a man could be. I was no more than a merchant he bought some of his groceries from, and he had a significant impact on my life by telling me his involvement in life. One of his last suggestions was to see the movie "Hidden figures". He told me the movie was realistic.

Paul was my roommate for our first two years at Notre Dame. He was without a doubt one of the most intelligent, most organized and likeable person I have ever known. I remember back in 1950 when he informed his young roommates that it would not be long before there would be travel to the moon. We laughed at his vision. He followed up and trained to be an astronaut . What a guy and friend. My deepest sympathy to Claire and family and may Paul rest in peace.

Paul was a man full of wisdom. He was a friend of the family and a great mentor to me in my formative years. He had a passion for anything aeronautics. He was vital in helping me secure a Summer research at Calspan which was an incredible experience. He was always kind and witty.
