Uncle Pete was loved by all of us. I looked forward to his Sunday visits with my dad, his younger brother. Uncle Pete was feared at the poker table on family holidays, made the best BBQ sauce, and took me for many exciting rides in his Oldsmobile. He loved his family, his wonder wife, aunt Kay, and was a fine role model for all his nieces and nephews. Rest In Peace uncle Pete, you are remembered, respected and missed.

It is with deep regret to hear of the recent passing of Uncle Pete. He was truly a fine person and a role model for all of the Ruffino family. I am sorry that I will not be able to come to Buffalo and pay my respects, but please accept my deepest sympathy cousins, as I am sure uncle Pete will be missed deeply by the entire family.

Marlene,
As is many times the case, life sent us on our separate ways, but I always remembered your Dad....your parents....as I do my own.....especially when I think back to when we were growing up....thinking they were overly concerned about us....I will carry their memory with me always.
A life never ends as long as memories and thoughts of your loved ones continue. Keep your parents alive through stories....memories.....laughter.

To the Ruffino Family,
We will always remember Uncle Pete as a strong,kind ,gentle man.
A hero during the war,and although he endured great injuries and suffering during his military service,and thru all his disabilities later in life, he always had a smile and gentle manor. His booming voice greeted you warmly, and he always had a kind word for everybody.
.His greatest love was his beautiful family,his wonderful children and grand-children.
His deep and unending love for his late wife,Catharine,(Aunt Kay),never wavered ,long after her passing almost ten years ago. He always knew he would someday rejoin Her, and believing that, will give us all,who loved them dearly,some comfort in our loss.
Please forgive us that we cannot attend Uncle Pete's funeral. Much love to you all.

Marlene, Rena, Beverly and Peter,
I am sad over the loss of Mr. Ruffino because he will be greatly missed by so many at Willow Lodge. I will miss his singing, his jokes, how he enjoyed music, people, food, his family. What a wonderful man and what a loving, kind and devoted family. May God Bless you forever and ever. You will always be in my heart.

I was so sad to hear of your Dad's passing. Your Dad and Mom were two of the nicest people ever. I always enjoyed visits with them and all of you though they were few.
