As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Randy, I was a resident of Gateway where you worked. You were always a great leader and example of how a man should be. I really enjoyed your stories about war. You were a great aspiration to all the young men that you mentored.

Randy was a great man. I went to school with Randy jr and his pops opened his home to me and my friends as if we were his own. HUGE cowboys fan but we still got along. Fondest memories are how he would let us play ball late at the Boys&Girls club (which he was in charge of) and open up on off days if we helped clean up ...& when he took us all to the BILLS game at Rich stadium, we had a great time and sat next to each other. Even tho he showed up in a Cowboys hat it was a good day talking football and enjoying the game with friends of the family. Randy was a good example of why its so important to have good men in our community and because of him there will be others.

To the Coates Family:
I have never had the opportunity to meet Randy, yet I was looking forward to it. I had heard so many positive things about him. Randy's impact with the student athletes, while brief will be impacting. As a parent of a former student at Cardinal O'Hara High School and a member to the Cardinal O'Hara Board of Trustees, I am saddened to have heard of Randy's untimely passing. Death so sudden, at any time is saddening. However, at this time of year, the passing of Randy is so much more heartfelt.
Please know that the prayers of my wife Cindy and myself, as well as all of us in the Cardinal O'Hara High School family are with all of you. May God Bless all of you and may Randy Rest in Peace.
