CONGDON - Richard J. Passed peacefully on July 18, 2016 at the age of 91, beloved husband of the late Mary I. (nee Bresney) Congdon; devoted father of Beverly (Dr. James) Smith, Kay (John Jr.) Marciano, Colleen (Mark) Potts, Linda (James) Koester and the late Mark E. Congdon; father-in-law of Anne Congdon; loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the C. MERTZ AND SON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 911 Englewood Ave., Friday, July 29 from 4-6 PM. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church (Englewood Ave.), Saturday, July 30 at 9:30 AM.
