Beloved husband of the late Beverley (Alles); dear father of Mark (Dawn) Hemann, Diane (James) Sprague, and Susan (Frederick) Centner; loving grandfather of Bradley (Teresa), Nathan (Jessica), Aaron (Emily) Sprague, Lisanne (Alex) McMullen, Calissa and Jayden Centner, Jeffrey (Cynthia), Steven (Karen) Welgoss; cherished great grandfather of nine; son of the late Daniel and Clara (nee Fischer); brother of the late William (late Ruth) Hemann. Celebration of
Life at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 630 Main St., West Seneca, NY, Saturday, June 10th at 10AM. No prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Church of Christ or New Light Christian Church. Online condolences at

We were blessed to have Richard as our cousin.
He was a wonderful man who shared his zest for life and Christ-like compassion with our whole family. Prayers of comfort and love to Mark, Dawn, Diane, Jim, Sue, Fred and their families.

Rev Hemann has been a part of my church life and family events (weddings, birthdays, deaths) for almost my entire life. He and his wife Beverly were very good friends of my parents, and he kept in touch with mom until very recently. Prayers and hugs to his family. Such a kind sweet man. May he RIP.

Dick was such a wonderful, kind soul. He and Beverly were such dedicated Christian stewards reunited once more. My prayers go out to Mark and the entire Heman family on this great loss. A true Disciple who spent his whole life serving his Lord and helping all he met with his compassion and humanity. Proud I knew him and his family will cherish my memories of him.

Rich was my cousin and Godfather. He is one of my last cousins to pass on. He conducted some of the weddings and most of the funerals for my whole family - aunts, uncles, cousins. He was always there to support all who needed him. He was loving and kind. He served the Lord every day. I have known him all the days of my life and will deeply miss him.
