Robert Albert
April 17, 1932 - March 28, 2025
Deacon Robert A. "Bob" Bauer of Amherst, NY passed away at Buffalo VA Medical Center after a short illness. He is survived by Rosemary (nee Bowhers) Bauer, his beloved wife of 62 years; daughters Marie (late Peter) Evans and Susan (Roberto) Rubio; son Robert J. (Colleen) Bauer; grandsons Paul and Edward "Ted" (Gabriella "Gabi" Cilento) Evans, Hunter and Jonathan "Jon" Bauer; brother Edward Bauer; and several dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will host a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 31 at 11:00 AM at Banchetti by Rizzo's, 550 North French Road in Amherst. RSVP to [email protected]. Flowers gratefully declined. You may best honor Deacon Bob's memory with an act of service, a donation to a human services nonprofit, or by reaching out to someone who may be lonely or forgotten.

Marie,
I did not know that I had crossed paths with your father long before I knew a Marie. Since I work at West Seneca DC and JNA I was well aware of the important role Deacon Bob played in the lives of the people who lived and worked there.
