Of Amherst, NY. Beloved husband of 18 years to the late Arlyne (nee Woods) and the late Sally (nee Baumgartner); cherished companion of Dorothy; devoted father of Jessica Ann Baus, Jennifer (Steve) Fortin, Andrew (Sharon) Baus, Robert A. Baus, Jr. and stepfather of Margaret (John) Braden; loving grandfather of Garrett (Melina) Fortin and Stephanie Stover and great grandfather of Carter, Norah and Andrew Fortin and Max and Elisabeth Stover; dear brother of Arthur Baus; revered son of the late Adrian and Katherine Baus. Relatives and friends may visit The Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY on Thursday November 30th from 3 – 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St. Amherst, NY on Friday, December 1 at 11AM. Please assemble at church. Bob and I met while in the military together and become very good friends. He was a man many people looked up to for guidance. Bob enjoyed helping young people who were just starting their military career. He was like a father to many. Bob will be missed, but not forgotten! Rest in Peace My Friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Bob (well and Aunt Arlyne who I think of often and still miss) was the best of all the extended family for me. Your parents were very important and brought much joy over those years of trying to grow up. I haven´t been to the USA in almost 5 years but I wish I had seen him one more time.
