I din't know Bob passed away until a few weeks ago when I saw an obituary on FB. We went to school together at St. Francis High School Class 1980. He was good guy, trouble maker, LOL, but I respected him very highly. Even though I haven't seen him in 40 years, i miss him forever..My condolences to the Chudy family

Condolences to Bob's family and friends. I haven't seen Bob since leaving St. Francis in 1980, but my memories of Bob give me ample knowledge to state that the world is a lesser place now that he has parted. God Bless.

Bob was a dear friend growing up in Orchard Park. We had many great times together attending St. Francis High School. Hearing of his passing is saddening and I send sincere condolences from me and my family. God bless you Bob. See you on the other side my friend.

Bob had many best friends and the three of us were honored to be among them.
We met Bob during our grade school and high school years, an awkward time in our lives. He taught us to be ourselves, and not to worry about what the cool kids thought. Just what WE thought. We did our own thing and let the others join in. And believe me, EVERYONE joined in. The jocks, the chess team, even the motorheads
Bob marched to the beat of a different drummer. When you first met Bob, he was a little hard to figure out, but when you DID figure him out, there was no turning back. You never questioned who he was or what he was all about. He had a big, silent heart. He was a loyal, wise friend who did kind things for everybody, yet never wanted or expected any recognition or even a "Thank you." He was always there for us when we needed him.
Bob was one of the funniest people we ever met. He never tried to be funny...that was up to me. Bob would just be Bob. His wit came from being practical, caring and always looking on the bright side of anything and everything. Bob made his own fun. He was never stranded anywhere, because he was always happy to walk. We were always fortunate to walk with him.
We were lucky and blessed to spend true quality time with Bob during his last several months with us. He was more concerned about how our families were doing than his own situation. Bob helped us reconnect with our spirituality. He showed us how to appreciate the little things in life and what really matters: Family, friends and neighbors, and being grateful for the gifts we share with each other: all the little things. He will be missed by all of us.

I am so saddened to learn of Bob's passing.
My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.
My locker was next to Bob at St. Francis and he truly was a very kind person who I was proud to call a friend.

Bob was a great guy and a loyal friend of all my brothers, Pat, Joe and Paul Donahue. He used to visit us on Potter Avenue and sometimes babysit my kids when i had to go to work with his brother max. My kids even lived to tell me about it!!!! He will be sadly missed. Susan Donahue Toplisek
