Peggy and family,
My deepest sympathies go to you and your family and friends.
I only met Bob a few times however I felt as if I knew him forever based on the stories my dad, Phil, told me about the crazy antics he and Bob had at Canisius (the incinerator room, the ledge of the building--too many stories and a bunch of laughs). When I finally met Bob, I realized immediately how special he was. He welcomed me every time with a huge bear hug and an even bigger smile and loved telling me more stories about him and my dad and all of their friends during college. He was a wonderful man and he will be greatly missed.

Dear Peggy,
Dave and I have been in the Adirondacks celebrating the 4th with family and I read through the death notices on line since we didn't have the Buffalo paper. When I scrolled down and read Bob's name, it didn't occur to me that it could be your Bob since I just saw him eating lunch at a table outside the Lexington Co-op a few days ago. Peggy, Dave and I are so sorry for your loss. He was quite the gentleman with such a regal carriage and warm smile. We are sorry we won't be in town in time for his mass at St. Michael's.
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
