Of Amherst, NY. Bob was an amazing husband for 65 years to Judie Betschen Pufpaff. Loving father to Scott (Tracy), Lee (Amanda) and Julianne (Lenny) Roberto. Cherished Grampy to Amanda Albertson, Jayna Roberto, James, Sean and Steven Pufpaff. Beloved brother of Nancy Pufpaff and John (Joanne) Pufpaff. Family and friends received on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at BARRON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 3025 William Street, Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Where a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00am. Donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Robert James John Pufpaff was born in Buffalo, NY on July 16, 1938. He was the eldest son of Walter and Jane Pufpaff. He graduated from Maryvale High School in 1956 and Buffalo State College in 1961. The same year he joined the Ken-Ton Schools District as an Art teacher and taught at Lincoln Elementary, Lindbergh Elementary and Kenmore West High School. One of his passions was helping students enjoy art through humor and creativity. Bob coached boys and girls swimming at Kenmore West for thirty years and recently had the Kenmore West Pool named after him. He lived everyday with fun and laughter and enjoyed participating in bowling, golf leagues and pitching fast pitch softball on numerous teams. He also helped to start the Town of Tonawanda Swim Club in 1971, which still exists today. "Puff" was twice Master of the Transportation Masonic Lodge # 842 and the Grand Lodge State Representative for North Carolina. He was inducted into the Maryvale Hall of Fame, the Kenmore West Hall of Fame and the WNY Softball Hall of Fame. He loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing were lifetime pleasures.

Condolences for sure! Mr. Pufpaff was my art teacher at Ken West and absolutely saved my life with art after my mom died in 1986. He was such an angel, and the reason why I am an art teacher today.

My sympathy to all of Bob's friends and relatives. I was a teacher at LIndbergh El. and saw Bob every day. My father was a member of Bob's Masonic Transportation Lodge. I will miss Bob's humor and kindness. May he rest in peace.
