Of Clarence, NY. Beloved husband of Rose Marie (Kruger) Roland; loving father of Bryan Kruger (Shannon Vaffis) Roland and Brock (Caroline Cannizzaro) Roland; Daddy D. of Sofia, Caroline and Eleanor Roland; brother of Felice (Tom) Bond and the late Frank (late Gini) Roland; also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC. FUNERAL HOME, 27 Aurora St., Lancaster, NY Wednesday from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 55 Pleasant Ave., Lancaster, NY Thursday morning at 10am (please assemble at church). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to FeedMore WNY or the Alzheimer's Association. Doug graduated from SMU with honors and has a master's degree from MIT in Mechanical Engineering. His career took him to several corporations from Group Engineering Director, Vice President of Engineering, and President of North American and Canadian plumbing and building products manufacturing companies from 1972-2002. He was a passionate about outdoor activities including Boy Scouts, fishing, hunting, backpacking and mountain climbing. Share condolences at wendelandloecherinc.com

Doug was so sincere and such a gentleman caring for others was in his nature. A dedicated husband and father, and true friend. I´m heartsick on his passing, he will surely be missed by all! A real cool dude.
