Rodney Coots Obituary
Suddenly. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Soluri) Coots. Devoted father and grandfather of Justin (Kaitlin) Telesco, Maryssa Telesco, Savannah (Tyler) Barrows, Abbigale Coots, Reese Coots, Charles Shilen and Thomas Shilen. Dear brother of Barbara (late Peter) Bisig. Also survived by nieces. The family will receive friends at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 911 Englewood Ave., Saturday, November 8th. Memorial Visitations from 2-4 PM where Memorial Services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rodney's memory to WNY Diabetes Association, Rodney was a Town of Tonawanda dispatcher for 22 years and Life Member of the Ellwood Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Boston Volunteer Fire Company totaling more than 50 years. My sympathies to Nancy and the rest of the family for their loss. I met Rodney when he would come to pick up Nancy from volunteering at LEAP at Sheridan Parkside Community Center. They made such a great couple.
