Ron was a great newsman, a wonderful Christian and a devoted partner to his beloved Lorraine. When he accepted a major award from the Buffalo Broadcasters Association more than 20 years ago, he told the crowd: "Tonight I know I'm somebody... because you've told me so." He wrote beautiful handwritten letters of condolence to friends and always struck the remarkably thoughtful note that eased your pain. He was a proud patriot who loved our country unceasingly and worried about its future. Ron was a valuable part of my life and so many others.
