Of Lackawanna, entered into rest on October 19, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Frances "Fran" (nee Raslawski) O'Connell; devoted father of Maureen (Michael) Villalva, Colleen (Michael) Hennessey, and Patrick (Joanne) O'Connell; cherished grandfather of Gregory, Nathan (Nirali), Michael, Rachel (Anthony), Michael, Matthew, and Abigail and great-grandfather of Kayliana, Devin, Greyson, Hudson, Weston, Dhilan, and Charley; loving son of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (nee Shaw) O'Connell; dear brother of Audrey Rizzo; also survived by Joan Perry, nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park, near Lake Ave., on Saturday from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Mother of Good Counsel R.C. Church, 3688 South Park Ave. at 12 noon. Mr. O'Connell was a US Army veteran, a member of VFW Post 63 and Matthew Glab Post 1477. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness. I am so sorry that I did not know until just a moment ago. Aunt Fran and Uncle Ron were joyous souls who brought humor and grace to all who were privileged to know them. I am very saddened and will pray for all.
