Of Williamsville, NY entered into rest September 30, 2023; Beloved wife of David Quagliana; devoted mother of Douglas (Crystal), Daniel (Alicia), David A. Quagliana and Donna (Woodrow Keith) Purkey; cherished grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of two; loving sister of Col. John (Paula) Marcy and Rita (late David) Daberkow; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a fourth-grade teacher with the Catholic School system for over twenty years, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Hutchinson Hose Company-Williamsville Fire Department and a licensed amateur radio operator with the call letters WN2QKF. Relatives and friends may visit The Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY on Tuesday October 10th from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Williamsville on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Please assemble at church. Inurnment St. Michaels Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.THEDIETRICHFUNERALHOME.com

My condolences to the family. Mrs. Quagliana taught me 4th grade 30 years ago. She was tough but fair. I truly learned so much from her! I have no doubt she will be greatly missed.
