CHERRY - Gail L. Age 71, of Springville, NY, died July 25, 2016, husband of Barbara (Wood) Cherry; former spouse of Betty (Sullivan) Cherry; son of Irene (Zumsteg) Cherry; father of J. Cherry (A.J.) Sullivan, Barbara (Richard) Matteson, Pamela Morley, Victoria (Andrew Berardi) Morley and Paul Morley; brother of Gerald (Carol) Cherry and Pamela (Laurie) Cherry; also survived by eight grandchildren, many in-laws, four nieces and four nephews. Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #524 for over 50 years, member and Commander of Springville American Legion- Concord Post #431, U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam, Mason for 48 years as Worshipful Master and secretary of Living Stone Masonic Lodge, Grand Lecturer of the Order of the Eastern Stars Beulah Chapter #176 for over 40 years, worked at Peerless Winsmith for 38 years. Friends may call Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 4-8 PM at the SMITH-WEISMANTEL FUNERAL HOME, 271 E. Main St., Springville. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 474 E. Main St., Springville.
