GIZZI - Sandra A. Sandy (nee Piotrowski) Of Hamburg, Entered into rest January 14, 2009; beloved wife of David V. Gizzi; devoted mother of David Jr. (Sandy), Daniel (Darlene) and Scott (Jennifer); cherished grandmother of Quinten, Riley and two more on the way; loving daughter of Chester and the late Margaret (nee Core) Piotrowski; dear sister of Carol (Randy) Scott and Thomas (Rose) Piotrowski; dearest grandchild of the late Anna Core; also survived by relatives and many friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Saturday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday morning in Southtowns Christian Center, Lakeview and Route 20, Lakeview, NY at 10 oclock. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Roswell Park Memorial Hospital or Hospice of Buffalo in Sandys name.

Dear Dave and Boys, we are soooo very sorry to hear of Sandys passing. We lived down the street from you on Dartmouth many years ago. I bowled with Sandy and Carol for several years also. She was a great girl. always smiling. She was a wonderful mom. So very sorry to read this in the Buffalo News. I will light a candle for her and keep her in my prayers. Sincerely

I become friends with Sandy 5 years ago when I sat down next to her at a Bernina sewing club. We found we had a lot of things in common, our sewing machines, sergers, and our Husbands had the same first name.But it seams I've known her forever. She was a great friend and I will miss her.
