Sean Shinners Obituary
May 15, 1945 - Jan 13, 2024
A life-long Buffalo businessman, was the son of the late Dr. Burton M. Shinners, and Hildegarde Fitzgerald Shinners. Sean grew up on Linwood Avenue and graduated from Canisius High School and the University of Buffalo. Sean served in the Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968 and was trained as a Russian language interpreter, a skill which later served him when in 1995 he became president of Buffalo Tver Sister Cities, Inc., a not-for-profit company dedicated to the improvement of healthcare service and delivery in the Tver Region of Russia. Sean was also the owner-operator of the critically acclaimed Parkside's Restaurant on West Oakwood Place from 1986 to 1990. Sean was predeceased by his parents, his brother Michael, and his sister Deirdre. He is survived by his brother Seamus (Jackie) of Traverse City, Michigan; his sister Shannon Howe (Grahame) of Sydney, Australia; nephews Michael and Kyle Shinners, and nieces Emma and Sarah Howe.

I went to grammar school with Sean . He was one of my best friends . He went to Canisus HS & I went to St Joes. We remained good friends over the years.
He was a good man. A true Buffalo Guy.
